PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
SEPTEMBER 9, 2009
A Design Review Meeting of the EAST HARTFORD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION was held in the Town Council Chambers, 740 Main Street, East Hartford, Connecticut on September 9, 2009.
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:08 p.m.

Michael Dayton, Town Planner
Denise Horan, Town Engineer
Chairman Anthony Kayser declared a quorum present. Chairman Kayser stated that Mary Whaples would be voting in the absence of Elaine Carey and would also be acting secretary for the evening. Chairman Kayser stated additionally, that the Commission would be voting with five members

SITE PLAN APPLICATION– 837 Main Street, Installation of an exhaust duct and
fan to an existing house of worship.
Applicant: Richard Beebe, First Congregational Church
Upon a motion by John Grottole , seconded by John Ryan, the Commission
Voted (5-0) to Approve the above site plan application with the following conditions:
1. In evaluating this application, the Planning and Zoning Commission has relied
upon information provided by the applicant and, if such information
subsequently proves to be false, deceptive, incomplete, and / or inaccurate, this
permit shall be modified suspended or revoked.

SITE PLAN APPLICATION – 99 East River Drive, Installation of nine roof top
PCS antennas to an existing office building.
Applicant: Pocket Communications (Theresa Viele)
Upon a motion by John Ryan , seconded by Paul Roczynski, the Commission
Voted (5-0) to Approve the above site plan application with the following conditions:
1. In evaluating this application, the Planning and Zoning Commission has relied
upon information provided by the applicant and, if such information
subsequently proves to be false, deceptive, incomplete, and / or inaccurate, this
permit shall be modified suspended or revoked.

TE PLAN APPLICATION – 100 Sunset Ridge Drive A.K.A Veterans
Memorial Clubhouse, Parking lot rehabilitation and installation of curbing, lighting, & landscaping.
Applicant: Town of East Hartford
Upon a motion by Mary Whaples, seconded by Paul Roczynski, the Commission
Voted (5-0) to Approve the above site plan application with the following conditions:
1. In evaluating this application, the Planning and Zoning Commission has relied
upon information provided by the applicant and, if such information
subsequently proves to be false, deceptive, incomplete, and / or inaccurate, this
permit shall be modified suspended or revoked.
2. Handicapped parking shall be revised to conform to the State of Connecticut
Building Code.

SOIL EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL APPLICATION– 100
Sunset Ridge Drive A.K.A Veterans Memorial Clubhouse, Parking lot rehabilitation
and installation of curbing, lighting, & landscaping.
Applicant: Town of East Hartford
Upon a motion by John Grottole, seconded by Paul Roczynski, the Commission
Voted (5-0) to Approve the above soil erosion and sedimentation application.

- Parking lot rehabilitation to Veteran Memorial Club House 100 Sunset Ridge Drive
Upon a motion by John Ryan, seconded by Mary Whaples, the Commission Voted (5-0) to Approve the above 8-24 Referral.
